Made it to Tulum

Well we made it safe and sound to Tulum. Only the usual rental car fiasco. For those not familiar with the usual rental car scenario, it goes something like this. You rent a specific car, you get there and that specific car is not available, but they have other cars and try to "upgrade you". Unfortunately we are picky because we need a specific size and height of car to carry our stuff with enough clearance to go over the bad roads. Anyway, we are returning to Cancun on Saturday to get a bigger one...and cross our fingers it is there.

That aside, Posada Luna del Sur (the hotel) was great. And we had our celebratory arrival dinner at a restaurant in Tulum.

Now the real work starts of cleaning up our room at Fernando's for the duration of our stay. And the adventure today is to buy a mattress in Playa del Carmen and other stuff we need....so no diving today.

Getting ready...

Rather than go todo incommunicado for the next month we decided to post updates and adventures here in case family would like to see what we are up to. The itinerary is still in the planning stages so keep checking for updates.
